This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user of Venderra.
Venderra is a B2B vendor intelligence platform for marketers and procurement teams. We collect data you give us, your email, name, reviews, saved vendors. We use it to run the platform, improve it, and (when you ask to be contacted by a vendor) to share your contact info with that vendor. We do not sell your data to advertisers or data brokers. You can request deletion of your data at any time. California and EU users have additional rights, see Section 8.
Venderra is free for buyers. We may receive payment from vendors when (a) you request to be contacted by a vendor, (b) vendors claim and upgrade their profiles, or (c) we share aggregated, anonymized intent data with vendors and their partners. We disclose this clearly because transparency matters, and because it's the law (see Sections 4 and 8).
Venderra ("we," "us," "our," or "Venderra") is a B2B vendor intelligence platform that helps marketers, procurement professionals, and operators discover, compare, and review business-to-business vendors. We operate the platform at venderra.co and any related subdomains, mobile interfaces, and email communications (collectively, the "Service").
For privacy questions, requests, or concerns, contact us at hello@venderra.co.
We collect data in three ways: data you give us, data we collect automatically, and data we receive from third parties.
| Type of data | When we collect it |
|---|---|
| Email address | When you sign up, save vendors, subscribe to the newsletter, submit a review, request to be contacted by a vendor, or contact us |
| Name | When you create an account or submit a review |
| Job title, company, role | When you complete your profile or submit a review (used to give context to your reviews) |
| Review content | When you submit a vendor review, including ratings, written content, and tags |
| Saved vendors and notes | When you save vendors to your shortlist or add private notes |
| Vendor claim information | If you submit a request to claim or list a vendor profile (your name, company, website, role, and any notes) |
| Communications | When you email us, reply to our emails, or message us through the platform |
| Type of data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Device & browser info | IP address, browser type and version, operating system, screen resolution, language, used for security, analytics, and platform optimization |
| Usage data | Pages viewed, vendors searched, time spent on pages, click paths, used to improve the platform and understand what marketers find useful |
| Cookies & local storage | See Section 5 for full details |
| Inferred interests | Based on which vendors you view, save, or compare, we may infer which categories or vendor types you're interested in. Used to improve recommendations and (in the future) to share aggregated trend data with vendors |
If you sign in via a third-party service (e.g., Google), we receive basic profile information from that service. We may also enrich your account with publicly available business information (e.g., LinkedIn profile data) to provide better recommendations and verify reviews. We do not receive payment information, financial data, or sensitive personal data from third parties.
What we do NOT collect: Payment information (we don't process payments yet), Social Security numbers, government IDs, health data, or biometric data.
We use your data only for legitimate business purposes related to running and improving Venderra:
When you submit a review, your review content (rating, written feedback, tags) becomes publicly visible on the platform after moderation. All reviews are published anonymously by default. We do not display your name, email, or any identifier alongside your review.
For context, we may publish your role and industry (for example "Field Marketing Manager, B2B SaaS") if you provided them. This helps readers gauge relevance without identifying you. You can choose to omit role and industry at submission.
We do not reveal the identity of reviewers to vendors, the public, or any third party except where compelled by valid legal process.
By submitting a review, you grant Venderra a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to publish, distribute, and display your review on our platform and in marketing materials (e.g., quoting your review on social media or in a blog post). You retain full ownership of your content.
You can request deletion of your review at any time by emailing hello@venderra.co. Once deleted, we cannot guarantee that copies are not retained by users who saw the review while it was public.
Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure provided by Supabase (PostgreSQL) and Vercel, primarily on servers located in the United States. By using the platform, you consent to your data being processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your home country.
We use industry-standard security measures including:
While we take security seriously, no internet transmission is 100% secure. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (e.g., tax records, legal disputes). Aggregated, de-identified data may be retained indefinitely.
Regardless of where you live, you have the following rights:
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@venderra.co. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
Do we "sell" or "share" your data under CCPA? Yes, in a limited sense. When you request to be contacted by a vendor and we share your contact info with that vendor, and we may receive payment from that vendor, this can qualify as a "sale" under CCPA's broad definition. We do not sell or share data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To opt out of sale/sharing: Email hello@venderra.co with the subject line "Do Not Sell My Personal Information." We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals automatically as a valid opt-out request.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent laws:
Legal bases for processing: We process your data based on (a) your consent (e.g., marketing emails), (b) the performance of a contract (providing the service), (c) our legitimate interests (improving the platform, security, fraud prevention), and (d) compliance with legal obligations.
International transfers: Your data is transferred to the United States, where it is processed and stored. We rely on standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission to safeguard these transfers.
To exercise your rights, email hello@venderra.co. We will respond within 30 days.
Venderra is a professional B2B platform intended for adults (18+) acting in a business capacity. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately at hello@venderra.co.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our platform evolves. When we do, we will:
Your continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
